For the 2010 Annual Report, we celebrate the strong foundation upon which World Council has been built over the past 40 years that has enabled us to stand strong in the face of this year's numerous challenges and empower credit unions worldwide to do the same. WOCCU introduced new tools and technologies to strengthen credit unions' financial performance and increase their rural outreach capacity.

Credit union organizations from a record 100 countries provided data for WOCCU's 2010 Statistical Report, which reveals the continued growth and resiliency of the global credit union movement. The report shows an estimated 188 million people worldwide are served by 52,945 financial cooperatives and includes data from new reporting countries Iran, Tanzania and Zambia.

WOCCU's development programs are highlighted regularly in the Technical Guide series, designed to inform readers about the unique situations and challenges each WOCCU program presents, as well as chronicling each program's achievements.

Model Law for Credit Unions provides a sample legislative framework to aid in preparing and seeking approval of laws.

Guide to International Credit Union Legislation contains credit union legislative and regulatory summaries for over 100 countries and political provinces.

Model Regulations for Credit Unions provides a starting point for implementing quality regulatory standards for credit unions. It is based on WOCCU's extensive international development experience and documented best practices. The regulation matrix contains real world examples of regulations from 18 developing and developed credit union sectors.
