Bi-lingual (Spanish) Financial Manager - Madison, Wis.


PRIMARY PURPOSE

Based out of our Madison, Wisconsin office this position will supervise WOCCU Services Group local office accounting managers. Manage WOCCU Services Group accounting, reporting and compliance. Liaise with World Council Accounting department. Responsible for compliance with WOCCU Services Group policies for accounting, procurement, travel, office disbursements, collections, and financial management.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Services: Develop, implement and monitor the financial reporting system for WOCCU Services Group. Assess the fiscal performance for the various offices. Satisfy management, executive and board reporting requirements in accurate, complete and timely manner. Provide regular reports and responses to inquiries from WOCCU Services Group Senior Vice President, World Council CFO and CEO. Access all World Council accounting systems for reporting information needs. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable, accounts receivable. Advise WOCCU Services Group Senior Vice President and Business Manager after review of monthly financial reports for exceptions, budgetary accountability, forecast cost variance, consistency within budgets and adherence to WOCCU Services Group policies.

Internal Controls/Compliance: Develop and monitor internal controls to assure that receipts and disbursements are accounted for according to GAAP and WOCCU Services Group requirements. Design and document improvements to WOCCU Services Group internal processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Work with WOCCU Services Group local office staff to ensure compliance with WOCCU Services Group policies related to accounting.

Accounting and Systems: Update and support accounting software for WOCCU Services Group and its affiliated local offices to enhance the quality of financial operations, accounting reporting.

Cash Management: Ensure that WOCCU Services Group cash flows are sufficient to carry out activities within the business plans and meet payment obligations while optimizing investment revenue.

General Accounting Duties: Responsible for overall WOCCU Services Group accounting functions including producing accurate financial reports, managing annual audits and the WOCCU Services Group budget process as well as preparing forecasts and business plans.

Other: Assist WOCCU Services Group Senior Vice President and Business Manager with special projects and analyses. Complete other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent training and experience. Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, auditing, process analysis and communications. Minimum of five years of accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and finance activities. CPA preferred.

Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Mathematic Skills: Planning, budgeting and reporting management.

Reasoning Skills: Creation, implementation and evaluation of procedures.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; including spreadsheet and word processing, automated accounting systems and payroll processing.


TRAVEL

Up to 40 days per year; both domestic and international.
