Worldwide Foundation Assistant LTE - Madison, WI
World Council's international training programs allow for the exchange of knowledge within the industry. These programs bring together people from credit union movements around the world and allow colleagues to share best practices. Under the general direction of the WF Program Manager this position provides administrative and clerical support to the program functions.
Provide support in communications (phone calls, drafting letters, mailings, web postings, emails, etc.) to potential clients, including follow-up calls, information requests, visa letters and other communications relevant to training programs.
- Arrange logistics for groups up to 150 people. Logistical support includes hotel contracts, airfare booking and securing ground transportation.
- Provide administrative support creating and updating proposals, agendas, sales kits, thank you letters and other internal and external documents.
- Assist with record keeping and filing for the international training programs and create and update reports as requested.
- Provide occasional clerical assistance to other WF initiatives depending upon department needs at the discretion of WF VP.
Translate documents from English to Spanish or vice versa.
- Create and proofread Spanish documents.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma and minimum 2–4 years previous office experience or similar equivalent of education and work experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (email & scheduling) and internet applications. Typing speed of 50 wpm. Previous experience making logistical and travel arrangements for groups, including hotel, airfare and ground transportation required. In addition, database experience and accurate data entry skills also required. Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced working environment. Familiarity with office equipment.
Interpersonal Skills: Must possess initiative; be self-motivated, resourceful, detail oriented, dependable; have high attention to detail.
Language Skills: Excellent written & oral communication skills in English and Spanish, along with the ability to translate written business documents from English to Spanish and vice versa.
Mathematic Skills: Basic to intermediate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills required. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations as well as abstract problem solving ability.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 including Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Contact Management systems/database management.
