LAN Administrator - Madison, WI

Primary Purpose

Install, setup, troubleshoot and monitor all World Council IT Equipment and Networks. Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure LAN and all systems on the network meet company and user requirements. Keep up-to-date on IT innovations and suggest implementations that will improve IT infrastructure to better serve user needs as they become available.

Education and Experience: Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Language Skills: Intermediate language skills required including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence required. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization also required. Fluency in English (read, write and speak).

Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of multiple operating systems - Windows (Workstation and Server), Unix/Linux, and Macintosh - as well as: Active Directory and Group Policy. virtualization technologies (Citrix XenServer, XenApp), storage technologies (SAN, iSCSI, ZFS), Microsoft Exchange 2010, anti-virus (TrendMicro), spam filtration (MailScanner, Spam Assassin), basic printer troubleshooting, and Unified/Mobile Communication (MS Lync).

Up to 10 days per calendar year domestic travel may be required.
