Software Developer - Madison, WI

Job Title: Software Developer

Duties: The Software Developer at World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) in Madison, WI will design, develop, and implement software and database solutions to support various credit union development methodologies. This individual will also provide client fulfillment, training and technical support on all current and future software products for all WOCCU representatives. They will also review field-developed software tools, adapt existing tools to local conditions, perform various testing and analysis, etc. client fulfillment and support, etc.) The Software Developer will also support, maintain and enhance IRNet Web remittance processing software platform. Assist in writing training manuals and technical specifications for prospective tools. Assist CTO with instituting organizational systems to aid the WOCCU IT Team in coordination and collaboration efforts. Evaluate credit union software packages available and provide the list of recommended software packages to be used in field credit unions. Work with field projects on computerization of CU's working with projects as required. Assist CTO in researching and implementing new technology solutions (such as VOIP, etc.) Develop training materials and provide training on the PEARLS Monitoring System financial disciplines and standards. Work schedule is Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance or related field, plus two years of experience in the design, analysis and development of computer and database programs. The two years of experience must include experience with: accounting principles, financial statements analysis, and financial institutions supervisory practices; database design, administration, development, optimization and maintenance - particularly in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft Access; experience creating graphical user interfaces (GUIs) using various programming languages -particularly Adobe Flex, Java, PHP, and HTML; program middleware processes and services, particularly in JMS, Java, Spring data access, JavaScript, JQuery, BlazeDS and Tomcat; network protocols (TCP, HTTP, SSL, FTP, SSH) and programming frameworks (Model View Controller, Object Oriented Programming, Object-Relational Mapping); Server Operating Systems; installing Windows Installer packages; implementing software application security for both locally installed and web-based software.
