Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Technician - Madison, WI

Job Title: Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Technician

Duties: The Information & Communications Technology ICT Technician at World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) in Madison, Wisconsin will identify and independently manage opportunities for and conduct IT project development including IT field assessment, IT proposal writing, and serve as a liaison with credit union movements and for negotiations with funders. Assist the Regional Manager and Vice President in monitoring and supporting all IT technical programs. Conduct IT project development including: exploratory assessments and visits to credit union movements and funders, financial and operational IT field analysis, IT project design and proposal writing, project marketing and funder negotiations. Participate in monitoring, evaluation and management of IT technical field programs. Evaluate IT progress of credit unions and projects against the project work plan and goals. Participate in reviewing and documenting all IT related technical tools, which form the WOCCU Model Credit Union Methodology and expand project implementation methodologies. Help develop IT tools, solutions and train field staff in the implementation of those tools. Participate in the development and implementation of IT solutions for credit unions, federation and WSG offices. Work schedule is Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Networking, Business or related field, plus two years of experience in IT solutions. The two years of experience must include: two years of project IT management experience in development and MicroFinance; experience implementing IT solutions such as IT networks; reading and interpreting source codes for transactional software applications; experience developing and implementing IT solutions in a rural setting; and knowledge of credit union development activities.
