The African SACCO Technical Congress will be held in Banjul, The Gambia, October 20-24, 2008. The congress provides an opportunity for savings and credit co-operative (SACCO) representatives from across Africa, including league representatives and government regulators, to come together to exchange ideas, experiences and perspectives. For four days, congress participants will hear from international speakers on a host of topics including savings mobilization, community development, global credit union development, technology and marketing.

The 2008 African SACCO Technical Congress is co-sponsored by World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA), Irish Credit Union League Foundation, African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) and the National Association of Co-operative Credit Unions of the Gambia (NACCUG).

The African SACCO Technical Congress will have sessions in both French and English, with interpretation services available. The Manager Certification Program will be offered in both French and English.
