Women are on the front lines in the fight against global poverty, and credit unions are natural mechanisms to develop women's leadership capacity in this fight. Even so, women conitnue to hold a minority of credit union leadership positions and have few resources available for advice, networking or mentorship. The Global Women's Leadership Initiative will help raise awareness, provide a forum for networking and raise funds so that women with the greatest financial need will have access to the same resources.
World Council of Credit Unions’ International Remittance Network (IRnet®) is a platform for credit unions to provide members and potential members around the world with access to safe and affordable international and domestic money transfers (remittances).
