Rosario Enriquez and Edgar Hidalgo
Rosario Enriquez and her husband, Edgar Chinchilla, achieved business
success for themselves—as well as credit for their customers—through credit
unions.
The Guatemalan couple started their bridal and gown business twenty years
ago. As their business and number of employees grew, they needed to invest in
material.
"At the credit union," Edgar explains, "we were able to get
more money and better rates than at the bank." Other Guatemalan financial
institutions charge as much as 36% annual interest on loans; the credit union
charged 20% and approved the loan in just eight days.
"We now give credit to customers because of the
credit union," says Rosario.
"I'm so happy we are members." Back
