In 2012, funding from the Worldwide Foundation helped to increase the depth and magnitude of World Council of Credit Unions' programs. WF supported World Council's International Partnerships Program, which brought together 136 credit union leaders from developed and emerging economic systems. The Global Women's Leadership Network was also supported by WF and increased the number of members to more than 200 women leaders from 20 countries. With the help of WF funding, World Council brought credit union services to Afghanistan, Colombia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico and Tanzania.
