World Council's Credit Union Ambassador's Award recognizes the contributions of individuals or organizations for their commitment to fostering international credit union development. This award is usually granted on the occasion of a special event, such as a significant anniversary year of the organization involved.

National Association of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions (NACSCU)

World Council presented NACSCU with a Credit Union Ambassador Award on the occasion of the Polish credit union movement's 10th anniversary.

Jamaica Credit Union League

World Council presented its Credit Union Ambassador Award to Carl Domville, board chairman of the Jamaica Credit Union League, during a 60th anniversary celebration dinner. World Council praised Jamaican credit unions for being the shining example of credit unions in the Caribbean. Jamaican Credit Union League (JCUL) represented 58 credit unions with more than 630,000 members (more than 36% of the population) and over $300 million dollars in assets. At the time, World Council was supporting credit unions in Jamaica through a credit union strengthening project based on World Council’s PEARLS financial monitoring system.

Betty Kernaghan

Betty Kernaghan was awarded the Credit Union Ambassador Award for her efforts in starting the Polish credit union movement. A formal presentation was made during the 2002 International Leadership Institute in Warsaw, Poland.

Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU)

World Council presented the Credit Union Ambassador Award to the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU) during its 30th conference and AGM, held in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. At the time, CCCU represented 359 credit unions and served over 1.3 million credit union members in 18 countries.
