2005 International Credit Union Day Theme ChosenCredit Unions: Members Make It Happen
Madison, WI - Credit union leaders, members
and
volunteers all over the world played a role in
choosing this year's International Credit Union
Day (ICU Day) theme, Credit Unions: Members Make
it Happen. Individuals were able to vote for
their favorite theme on World Council of Credit
Unions' on-line poll. Out of 3,753 votes, 1,887
voters (50%) chose this year's theme.
Other potential themes included: Credit
Unions:
People Helping People to Help Themselves
(receiving 20% of the vote); Credit Unions
Connect the World (11%); Cooperatives: Sharing
the Spirit (11%); The Power of Cooperation:
Innovation...Community...Commitment...Success (8%).
Kimberly Johnston, WOCCU marketing and
communications manager noted, "World Council
would
like to thank everyone who participated in this
year's
theme selection." She continued, "International
Credit Union Day artwork will be available on the
WOCCU website on June 10, 2005."
