Washington,DC--During the Annual International Credit Union Reception—hosted by the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) and CUNA World Leadership Development Committee –Dennis Dollar, chairman of the National Credit Union Administration was presented with the International Credit Union Ambassador Award.
World Council Board chairman, L.R. (Bobby) McVeigh presented the award to Dollar noting, "He is a true friend to the international credit union movement and will leave a shinning legacy— not only for United States federal credit unions— but also for the international credit union movement." The surprise presentation by World Council left the distinguished statesman with few words, graciously explaining that without the assistance of many others at the National Credit Union Administration his work with the international credit union movement would not have been possible.
