MADISON, Wis.—World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) has negotiated reduced hotel rates for attendees at its 2009 World Credit Union Conference in Barcelona, Spain. Attendees who register by the May 20th "early bird" deadline can save a full third on room costs for the July 26-29 event.

In recognition of the ongoing financial crisis affecting many countries worldwide, new rates were negotiated last week to help attendees of the global event save money. The conference hotels and their discounted standard room prices include:

Hilton Diagonal Mar: Was €200; NOW €150 SOLD OUT
AC Barcelona: Was €165; NOW €110 (single occupancy)
Barcelona Princess: Was €165; NOW €110 (single occupancy)

Rates, based on availability, will be in effect through the May 20th "early bird" registration deadline. Attendees who have already registered will receive the reduced rates. For more info, visit
