Next Generation of Credit Union Leaders Sought
WYCUP Scholarship Call For Nominations
Madison, WI-Credit union leaders age 35 and
to submit a nomination for the World Council of
Credit Unions, Inc.(WOCCU)WYCUP scholarship.

will be awarded to five winners in the Bahamas on
August 4, 2004. The five winners of the WYCUP
Scholarship receive an all expenses paid trip to
attend the 2005 International Credit Union
Leadership Institute held in
By recognizing and promoting the next
of leaders in the international system WOCCU aims
to ensure the future sustainability of the
international credit union system. Credit unions
and credit union organizations affiliated to the
World Council are encouraged to participate in
this aim by identifying and nominating their next
generation of credit union leaders to compete for
the WYCUP Scholarship.
A five person WYCUP Committee will select the
winners of the 4th WYCUP scholarship. In
reviewing nominations, the WYCUP Committee are
looking to reward those individuals who have
already made a significant contribution to the
development of their credit union or credit union
organization and have the potential to play a
role within the international credit union
To be eligible for the WYCUP scholarship,
1) be sponsored to attend the 7th
International Credit Union Leadership Meeting in
Bahamas, August 1-4, 2004,
2) be age 35 or under on January 1, 2004, and
3) submit a nomination form, a 500 word
essay and any other supporting materials.
In the Bahamas, WYCUP nominees will be
recognized at the Institute Meeting as the next
generation of credit union leaders and invited to
take part in events organized specifically for
those age 35 and under, including a networking
session, a reception and the WYCUP Challenge.
Registrants age 35 and under also qualify for a
discounted price on the cost of their
registration for the Leadership Institute.
