In Sri Lanka, Lalani and her family of four were struggling to survive selling the eggs and chickens from her backyard to the neighbors. Then, thanks to a loan from her local WOCCU credit union, she was able to expand her farm to 400 birds. This not only improved her family’s financial situation, it also increased the local food supply and improved the lives of everyone in her community.
