From Classroom to Cooperative Leadership: Sicredi’s Youth Journey Inspires

In a powerful Monday afternoon breakout session, Suellen Batista and Keyla Rodrigues of Sicredi showcased how long-term investment in education is shaping the next generation of cooperative leaders in Brazil.

From early childhood programs to school-based co-ops and youth committees, Sicredi’s approach weaves financial education and cooperative values into every stage of a young person’s journey.

Joining the session was Vitor Cora, one of more than five million Sicredi Youth Program alumni and now a WYCUP Scholar. His story brought the impact to life, showing how early exposure to cooperation and leadership can spark a lifelong commitment to the movement.

“Being part of this journey has shown me that collaboration and cooperation aren’t just values, they’re powerful tools for building a better future. I’m proud to carry those lessons forward in everything I do,” said Vitor.
