CrossState Teams with Credit Unions to Provide Gowns to Hospital Workers

The following post was provided by CrossState Credit Union Association, which represents member credit unions in the U.S. states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

CrossState Credit Union Association, in conjunction with a group of credit unions, pooled resources to purchase one thousand hospital gowns to be donated to local hospital and health care workers.

Participating credit unions include American Heritage FCU, American Spirit FCU, Belco Community CU, Citadel FCU, CrossState, Discovery FCU, First Commonwealth FCU, First Heritage Financial, Eagle One FCU, Franklin Mint FCU, Freedom CU, Health Care Employees FCU, People First FCU, Service 1st FCU, Sun East FCU, TruMark FCU, and West Penn Air FCU. Shields Business Solutions also joined the group of credit unions.

The gowns purchased are of the level three non-surgical variety and meet the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation Level Three Liquid Barrier Standard, which ensures protection from fluid contamination. The gowns provide maximum protection, extending to cover the ankles and wrap around the body for complete coverage.

“It’s great to see credit unions give back to their local communities,” said Patrick Conway, CrossState President & CEO. “It’s times like these that we truly demonstrate our ‘People Helping People” philosophy. We are very pleased to be able to bring this opportunity to give back to other credit unions in NJ and PA.”

The gowns CrossState purchased will arrive in the next two to three weeks.
