Women Steer Their Ships Toward Leadership at the Executive Readiness Summit

Credit Union Women Come Together in Washington for Seventh Year of GWLN Executive Readiness Summit

RICHLAND, WA.— The Global Women’s Leadership Network’s (GWLN) brought more than 50 credit union women from 15 U.S. states and Canada together in Richland, Washington last week for the seventh annual Executive Readiness Summit to engage credit union women with thought leaders, industry experts and one another to learn more about how to unlock authentic leadership, what kind of leader they are and can be, as well as the cognitive science behind leadership.

Sponsored by Co-op SolutionsPSCUeLeadership Academy™ and TruStage, the Summit was hosted by HAPO Community Credit Union to be held in person in Richland, Washington.

With eight sessions held over two days, presenters focused on authenticity and science to help attendees steer their ships towards leadership and learn how to be an authentic, resonant and inclusive leader. Speakers included:

  • Samira Salem, Vice President Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Credit Union National Association 

For it’s seventh year, the Executive Readiness Summit offered a dynamic, experiential and inspirational workshop for credit union women in mid- to high-tiered positions. 

“Both speakers and attendees actively engaged and brought their true selves. The interactive and practical workshop exercises all made for impactful sessions and an empowering atmosphere,” said Lena Giakoumopoulos, GWLN Director. “This event goes beyond the sharing of resources.
