Ukrainian Credit Union Stakeholders Learn Best Practices from Lithuanian Colleagues Amid Implementation of New Law
VILNIUS, Lithuania—The USAID/World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Credit for Agriculture Producers (CAP) Project last week helped representatives of Ukraine’s credit union sector prepare to implement the country’s new credit union law by leading them on a study tour to learn the best practices of Lithuanian credit union operations, regulation and supervision.

WOCCU Approves Membership of Second Brazilian Credit Union System

$30,100 Grant Provides Better Working and Living Conditions for Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey
MADISON, Wis.—Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) is providing a $30,100 grant to Tarim Kredi (Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey) through the Turkish Cooperative Earthquake Relief Fund to purchase over 40 air conditioners that will allow for safer conditions for 126 workers and 20,489 members impacted by the devastating February 6 earthquakes.

Women Steer Their Ships Toward Leadership at the Executive Readiness Summit
RICHLAND, WA.— The Global Women’s Leadership Network’s (GWLN) brought more than 50 credit union women from 15 U.S. states and Canada together in Richland, Washington last week for the seventh annual Executive Readiness Summit to engage credit union women with thought leaders, industry experts and one another to learn more about how to unlock authentic leadership, what kind of leader they are and can be, as well as the cognitive science behind leadership.

WFCU Global Bridges Connects Irish and Ukrainian Credit Unions
