Abby Cohen

Program Manager for Latin America

Abby Cohen is the World Council's Program Manager for Latin America. In this role, she manages the Economic Inclusion Project, which improves the socioeconomic security for Venezuelan migrants and refugees, as well as vulnerable local populations in Peru and Ecuador.

Prior to joining World Council, Abby worked for Democracy International and Chemonics International, providing home office program management support for various USAID-funded development programs in Latin America and Asia. She also served in the Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development Volunteer in a rural community in southwestern Paraguay.

Abby holds a master’s degree in global affairs from the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and Hispanic studies from Dartmouth College. Originally from Bethesda, MD, Abby is a big DC sports fan, loves to travel and enjoys outdoor adventures.
