Vice President of Meetings and Events

Christi Swoboda, CMP, serves as Vice President of Meetings and Events for World Council of Credit Unions and has been with the organization since 2014. She brings the expertise, partnerships and strategic vision to lead the continued growth and global impact of World Council’s meetings and events portfolio.

She oversees the strategy, management and execution of the organization’s international meetings and events, including the World Credit Union Conference (WCUC), widely considered the premier international credit union event. Hosted in a different country each July, WCUC attracts thousands of credit union professionals from around the world to build connections, explore industry trends and foster lasting partnerships. The four-day program includes general sessions, more than 40 breakout sessions, lunch and learn opportunities, an exhibit hall of solution providers, credit union visits, forums, networking events and more.

In addition to WCUC, Christi also leads the strategic development and innovation of World Council’s virtual event platform. Launched in 2020 to expand access to education and networking for members and non-members globally, the platform continues to grow and complement the organization’s in-person experiences.

Christi holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and completed a semester abroad in Australia. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband and three kids.
