Fayna Poliana: A CAP Project Success Story in Ukraine

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has forced millions of Ukrainians to flee the country and seek temporary protection in Europe and elsewhere. However, many more people decided to stay in Ukraine and continue running their businesses to support the country’s economy, despite threats to their lives and livelihoods. This is what participants of the berry cooperative Fayna Poliana (Файна поляна) in Ternopil Oblast did.

As members of Vygoda Credit Union Кредитна спілка "Вигода", a WOCCU/USAID Credit for Agriculture Producers' (CAP) Project partner, these agricultural producers were able to obtain loans from Vygoda provided through the USAID Ukraine and Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions Liquidity Fund.
